What can I expect from The Horizon of Khufu?
The Horizon of Khufu is a unique virtual reality expedition that takes visitors on an immersive journey through ancient Egypt, exploring the heart of the exceptional monument during a fascinating era.

How long does the experience last?
The VR experience has an approximate duration of 45 minutes. We recommend you allow 15 minutes to drop off your personal belongings and get ready.
In which languages is the experience available?
The experience is available in English, Spanish, Mandarin and French. Subtitles are not available.
Can I take pictures or record the experience?
Yes. Photos and videos for personal use are allowed. We encourage you to tag us at
@horizonofkhufu_calgary. Please seek staff approval if they appear in your photos/videos. Flashes and tripods are prohibited. Professional photography requires management authorization.
Do you offer guided visits?
In the VR experience, you will be accompanied by a virtual tour guide. Additionally, on-site staff can answer any additional questions you may have.
Is the experience the same for everyone?
Yes, the experience is the same for each visitor.
Is the experience accessible for children?
The experience is suitable for children aged 8 and above. Children under 8 are not allowed to participate, even when carried by an adult, for safety reasons. Children aged 8-12 must be accompanied. For minors, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver on-site if they wish their child to use a VR headset, acknowledging the risks and authorizing their participation. Please note that the accompanying adult cannot supervise or assist the child while in VR.
How many people can take part in the experience in the same group?
Groups consist of 4 visitors, but multiple groups can follow the experience together.
Are backpacks allowed into the experience?
Backpacks (even small ones) are not permitted for safety reasons.
Can I offer a gift voucher?
Yes, you can purchase gift vouchers online with various pricing options directly on
our ticketing page.
Is it necessary to dress a specific way for this experience?
We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Avoid hats or caps due to the VR headset. Backpacks and handbags are to be stored in the provided lockers. Heels are not recommended.
Are there any potential risks associated with the experience?
The experience may lead to a loss of balance which could cause a fall. The experience is therefore less suitable for people susceptible to vertigo or with severe balance issues or health concerns. Please, advice our team before participating so that we can assist you with the smoothest experience possible. As with any VR experience, some participants may experience mild discomfort or disorientation. Those prone to motion sickness or balance issues might feel unsteady or nauseous. We take safety seriously and have measures in place to assist all participants.
Can I bring my baby?
For safety reasons, babies are not allowed in the experience, whether in carriers or strollers.
Is it safe to experience this if I'm pregnant?
There are no contraindications from the manufacturer of the virtual reality headsets stating that it is unsafe to experience it while pregnant. However, it is recommended to consult your doctor before your experience. Please note that during your experience, it is suggested to bend down to access one of the chapters.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Depending on availability, on-site purchases may be possible, but we highly recommend advanced booking.
Can I come back a second time for free?
No, tickets for the experience are valid for one entry only.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer individual tickets from your Fever account. Once transferred, the action cannot be undone.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, your contactless tickets will be validated directly in the Fever App. You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the
Apple App Store or
Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase. You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do?
You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the
Apple Store or
Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please
contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed?
This experience allows date changes up to 48 hours in advance. If you would like to make the change, please
contact us and include the ticket ID associated with your purchase. One of our agents will respond to your request as soon as possible, informing you of the next steps to follow.
No refunds are permitted under any circumstances. For more information, you can consult our

What methods of payment are accepted on-site?
We accept credit and debit cards. Cash is not accepted.
LOCATION AND PARKING
Is there parking available?
Visitors can park in the CF Chinook Centre parkades or surface-level parking lot.
Are there lockers and or a coat check on site?
Yes, lockers with keys are available. You will have access to them before entering the experience. Please note lockers are in limited quantity.
How do I get to the experience by public transport?
The experience is located inside CF Chinook Centre. You can access the location via the Chinook CTrain Station and various bus routes. To plan your trip visit the Calgary
Transit website.
Are there bathrooms available at the venue?
Yes, bathrooms are available.
ACCESSIBILITY
Can I take breaks or sit down during the 45-minute experience?
While the experience is designed to be continuous, our staff can assist if you need a short break. Please let us know before the experience begins if you require accommodations.
Can I wear eyeglasses?
Yes, eyeglasses can be worn. Staff will help position the headset correctly. Nearsighted individuals should keep their glasses on. Reading glasses and farsighted glasses are not necessary. The maximum supported width for glasses is 150 mm (5.9 in), larger frames may pose a problem, so we suggest wearing contacts if available.
Is the experience safe for people with heart conditions or epilepsy?
We do not recommend participation for those with these medical conditions. If you have any concerns about your health and ability to participate, please consult with your healthcare provider before attending.
Is the experience accessible for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals?
Subtitles or captions are not available for this experience.
Are service dogs allowed?
Due to the multi-user tracking technology, service dogs are not permitted.
Can I participate with hearing aids?
You can participate with hearing aids, but they cannot be linked to the VR Headset.
Is the experience wheelchair accessible?
Please be informed that our VR expedition's specific requirements necessitate the exclusive use of manual wheelchairs, as motorized wheelchairs may compromise the safety of other visitors. The nature of the experience demands slow and controlled movements to maintain a safe environment for all. We are pleased to extend an offer of an extra ticket free of charge for a companion to accompany you throughout the journey.
There are free parking spaces for visitors with disabilities or limited mobility.
I have balance issues or a history of vertigo. Can I still participate?
This experience can trigger vertigo. We offer canes for added stability during the experience. Please inform our staff upon arrival, and they'll be happy to assist you.
Can the VR experience be uncomfortable or unsuitable for certain people?
VR is not recommended for those with claustrophobia, agoraphobia, fear of heights, or epilepsy. People prone to motion sickness may also experience discomfort when using a VR headset. This might lead to symptoms like drowsiness, increasing the risk of injury during real-world activities.

Do all the members of my group have to be together to register?
Yes, if you want to experience it together. If you expect your group members to arrive at different times, we suggest you order your tickets separately.
